Goji Juice and tea Facts 15th February 2008, 00:38

For a number of years the subjects of nutrition and antioxidants have been the focal point of a number of important studies and through this research it has been discovered that fruits and vegetables in conjunction with each other have specific effects on the effects of antioxidants in the human body.
It should be noted that the AHA has stated that consuming five or more servings per day of fruits and vegetables are optimal for keeping the body at peak health. The American Cancer Society concurs with the five a day rule as well in their literature.
These two organizations believe that the research has proven the effects of properties in some fruits and vegetables that have antioxidants that they have run complete campaigns to promote their eating five a day of these foods for good health. This is their way of educating the common person who may not have an avid interest in reading about nutrition.
While wellness is extremely important and these servings are indeed vital there is also the additional benefits which they do not currently publicize but which are also a major concern to many individuals.
Green tea comes from the plant Camellia Sinensis and is made quite differently than black tea; the leaves are dried; yet they are not fermented as such. This is what gives green tea its lighter color and flavor and it also leaves more of the natural antioxidants that is found in tea leaves.
By drinking tea there is approximately eight to ten times the power of eating fruits and vegetables and this amount of antioxidants attacks the free radicals in the body, along with detoxifying toxic chemicals in the body.
There have been many studies done on tea and countries that are known for substantial tea consumption such as Japan and China. It has been found in these countries that there is less heart disease, cancer and other diseases.
it should be noted that
goji juice
is likewise relatively high in these types of crucial antioxidants as measured by it's own ORAC score..... Due to advances in the technology for extracting the juice from the plant without actually destroying the goji berries' very powerful nutritional qualities,
goji juice is more potent than ever these days. Himilayan goji, also referred to as wolf berries, have long been an important part of the nutritional basis for many, many East Asian peoples.
